I have a good friend that gets mentioned a lot on this blog, mainly because we are good friends. I have mentioned my apathy towards hockey before, but after talking with him today about the game he saw Saturday night, I think I might have to re-evaluate what how seriously these fans take the Boston vs. Montreal rivalry. He claimed that any time a woman with a Montreal jersey stood up all the fans would chant something I can't even mention on this blog (hint it has to do with her willingness to engage in sexual acts and is analagous to a farm animal). Also, one poor Montreal fan had an entire beer poured on him after the Canadians scored and dared turn to talk shit. A full beer. What happened? Nothing, the fans in question got a warning. Voldemort summed it up best when he said: "Why do they bother coming down here to watch playoff games and put up with this shit? They should just watch games in Montreal." I agree. But Voldemort, make sure you tell your fellow Bruins fans about this story surrounding Canadians fans booing during the playing of the national anthem. Wow. Anti-American rhetoric during a playoff series. Gotta start watching more hockey.
